White Tara (Sitatara) Buddha, is a figure in Tibetan Buddhism, representing compassion, healing, and longevity. She is depicted with seven eyes, symbolising her awareness of suffering, and is usually shown in white, indicating purity and wisdom. Devotees invoke White Tara for healing, to extend life, and for overcoming challenges, often reciting her mantra “Oṃ Tare Tuttare Ture Mama Ayuḥ Punya Jnana Pustiṃ Kuru Svaha” to seek her blessings. White Tara has both legs folded in meditation (Green Tara Buddha is stepping down onto a lotus).
